MATERIÁL GP6
Characteristics
A sophisticated metal-ceramic
formulation for racing use, our GP6 material
is produced by „Progressive Powder Technology‘‘-a leader in the
field of sintered technologies.
This compound material has been specially formulated
for racing use.
This material is recommended for racetrack Motorsport usage
ONLY ! (Front brake).

FEATURES:
- Very high static friction coefficient
- Low abrasive interaction with the brake rotor material surface.
- The brake pad surface is specially treated.
- The rear face of the pad is insulated for heat transfer protection.
- Minimal difference between wet and dry braking performance
- Good abrasive resistance
- High braking power to 680°C(max.800°C)
- The sintered friction material is soldered to the copper coated
backing plate, so separation (which can happen with organic material)
is virtually eliminated as a failure risk.
- Braking performance does not deteriorate as heat increases within
the recommended operating temperature range
Material operting parameters:
Specific pressure:……………….p <5,0 Mpa
Sliding speed:…………………...V< 30 m/s
Constant maximum temp.:……...650°C
Short time maximum temp.:…….800°C
NOTES:
- replacement of brake pads should be done in dry clean conditions.
If the friction material comes into contact with oil or brake fluid
and the liquid soaks into the pores of the friction material, a catastrophic
drop in friction coefficient (braking performance) could occur
- Braking performance is significantly influenced by the area of the
braking surface of the Disc rotor, by the age and volume of the brake
fluid, and by the correct choice of Complementary friction pad material.
- To achieve optimum brake performance we recommend the use of brake
rotors and hoses of the same brand as that of the brake pads i.e. GOLDfren®,
because of the design integrity of the related components.
